Become A Mentor Today
The roles of a Mentor at Keeta’s Place INC is to develop relationships with the W.O.T. Girls that provide them with some of the life skills that are needed to become productive citizens who can contribute to society as they grow into adulthood.
The mentor’s role is to support their mentees by:
- Empowering the W.O.T. Girls to resolve current issues and to develop coping strategies for the future.
- Provide a model for a healthy, trusting relationship through clear communication and setting
appropriate boundaries. - Acknowledge the W.O.T. Girls strengths, talents and gifts and encouraging them to find ways to use them.
- Be an active listener and offer support and encouragement when appropriate.
- Engage in activities outside of the home to help expose the W.O.T. Girls to new opportunities and experiences.
